I had to get a car due to my truck in the shop but amazing customer service by Jake , he went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle was a right fit for me. I highly recommend this location great service.
My situation. Wallet left at a work site 60 km away and need a car. Since I know a credit card and licence are required to book a car, I preemptively called the location to verify if I could come in with a recent (<12 hours) picture of my drivers license (left at work site) along with my passport and other information to verify my identity.
The assistant manager sympathized with my situation over the phone and told me to come in at 7:30 the next morning to retrieve a car, and he would be leaving a note for his staff to ensure a hassle free booking for me. He has the people skills needed to run a customer facing operation like this.
Come in the next day, the supreme leader (location manager) denied me a car and hid behind policy of having a license in hand. Nor did he want to call the off duty assistant manager to verify my story as he did not want to disturb him as he could be sleeping. His sleep. Is this real life or Monty Python?
If the manager is not capable of finding a resolution, not willing to call his own assistant manager to verify a story that was the sole reason for spending my time to get there… and possibly make an exception or offer a free ride home to diffuse the situation… and resorts to cowardly hiding behind “policy”… he is not a manager but a well trained parrot.
Not to insult parrots. They are great birds.
I suggest that Enterprise replace his position with chatgpt, if the expectations of his role are to spit out policies like a bot and not come up with possible resolutions.
This is in stark contrast to the wonderful service I have received at Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver and even enterprise in Africa!
This is not on brand for Enterprise.
Left without a car and paid for Ubers both ways.

I prebooked an intermediate size car about 2 weeks in advance for a quick trip to Montreal. When I arrived early morning on the day of to pick up the car, the previous renters had not returned on time so I received a free upgrade to a small pick up truck. This worked in my favor since I wanted to ensure the drive to Montreal would be a safe one! Shout out to the gentleman for the great customer service.
The branch manager is incompetent and needs training or is just racist looking for ways to not rent me a car. I have showed him proof from enterprise’s own website that international license with translation of letters and digits in English are acceptable. I even confirmed with their own customer service later and they said I should be good. However, thanks to the incompetency of the branch manager my entire day was wasted. Worst rent a car experience. The branch manager of this place thinks he owns the place! I will keep following up with corporate till he gets what he deserves!
I was denied a car even when my license was in English and Arabic. The branch manager made his own rules ignoring their owns company’s policy which clearly states that licenses that in are English are allowed after I showed him. I have rented multiple times in the US without any problem. I feel discriminated against and have not received any feedback from the company after emailing them and calling customer service who agreed I should be given the car and please don’t respond to this rating with we would love to hear more email us here I already have and gotten no response. I want the branch manager to learn and accept his mistake he cannot treat paying customers like he is the owner!
Got a rental through this location through insurance after a car accident. They upgraded me to a nice suv. The staff was courteous. It took less than 10 minutes when I got there to be driving away. Drop off was even faster. I would definitely use their services again if needed. I recommend this location due to their friendly staff and fast service.

Always, always, always book Enterprise. Competition just too many short cominings. Enterprise offers better fleet options, unlimited miles, easy return and wonderful helpful staff. Great trusted Guelph Downtown
